Black on White.: Enjoyment,Fulfillment.

Recently, i had just traveled to BALI with a bunch of friends. For 5 days 4 nights.

It was actually a ~~not-so-successful~~ birthday surprise for my girlfriend.
Having planned for about 3-4 months time, she actually found out just few weeks later when i started planning.
Well, it doesn't change the outcome.

So,on the 8th May we touchdown 1 hour later than our friends in Bali,which was planned.

it was a chaos in the Denpasar International Airport. Flooded with tourists, departing and arriving.

IMMIGRATION. LUGGAGE. SECURITY. ARRIVAL GATE !

There we were. Our driver holding my HUGE NAME BOARD standing there.

30 minutes of the ride. Through traffic,bumpy roads,valleys,peoples, and there we are.

Nothing much was done on Day 1...

But, we did splash the pool, walk through valleys. walk on the streets of Seminyak.

Had dinner at WARUNG MA DE.

After the satisfying ~~pricey~~ dinner, we hop on to taxi and went to Potato Head,as recommended by our owner.
Driving past the streets, going through securities, this must be something cool.
Yes, indeed ! It was a chill-out place for tourists who wants privacy. With breathtaking views.

Day 2
Started the day with the delicious in-house breakfast.
So tasty ! yet healthy.

Trust me. It's damn bloody delicious.
i would totally go back to bali just for that !

After breakfast, we were picked up by our guide to Nusa Dua for some watersports.

After a day of hectic adventures, we head back to our ~~mansion~~ villa to get ourselves geared up for tonight !

Day 3

After a ~~chaos~~ fun night, we had ourselves fully rested to head on to our next destination.

Ubud. A mere 1 hour car ride from Seminyak.

This is a place where you can get loads of souvenirs, just like a Petaling Street of Bali.

And they are also famous for their 'dirty duck',a cuisine which is famously known as Bebek Bengil.

We brought a pet home.

Beautiful environment.

Comes with delicious food.

After we stuffed our stomach full with good food, we head on to Kuta, approximately 15 minutes away from Seminyak and 1 hour plus from Ubud.

Kuta is full with tourist because it is the heart of Bali. It has been well-known for it's beaches, shopping malls, nightlife such as the clubs and bars.

The beach was long, we were at one end of the beach. We didn't walk the full length of the beach, which i guess would be around 10km spread across?

My friends went separated, some went for the beach, some went for the shops.

My girlfriend did something to her hair.

If someday you visit Bali, and you feel like trying, remember to cut price. They offered 250,000 rupiah but we managed to get it for 100,000 only which is around RM35. Try to cut down even more !

But they were fast. Really fast. Just a mere 15 minutes and it's done !

Another lesson learnt. A painful one.

Never ever change your money in those secluded area,small shops even though they offer better price.

I was conned. Eg: All the rates were 1USD = 8450, but there are a few shops that offered 1USD = 8950.

I was helping 3 of my friends to change 100USD each. And i brought along 1 of my friend too.

Here's the catch. I went into the one that offer 8950, so i changed 300USD which would give me 2685000.

That is 2.685 million rupiah. They will start counting the money right in front of your eyes. All in 50,000 rupiah notes. They they will start talking to you,giving you distraction. And they also did something to the calculator.

It shows you 268500 instead of 2685000. You won't notice anything at first because there are too many ZEROS.

He counted . I saw. My friend saw. 2 million. Correct! 60,000 .Correct ! And 8500. But what we didn't know was, instead of 2,685,000, i only received 2,068,500 . But it was too late. I only found out when we were on the way home. I feel sorry for my friends.

So,REMEMBER ! Always change your money in big money changers. If you insist, double-check,triple check, bring few friends along.Use your own calculator.

Then we head back to our villa. Get rested, freshen up, had dinner and went back to Kuta for their nightlife.

Fair to say, it was free admission, the drinks were not that pricey, but the music ain't good.We chilled out for 3-4 hours and we head back home. Get some rest before day 4 comes.

Day 4

It was as usual, our deliciously,healthy breakfast waiting for us in the early morning. Today's activities were white water river rafting ! Be sure to find the best rate. Bagus offers the best rate. And,because there are so many places, Telaga Waja Rafting would be the ideal choice.

It took us about 1 1/2 hour car ride to reach the destination. Along the way we pass by rice fields,hills, roads, then we stop for a break to get free complimentary coffee.

Back to our journey, we stopped to get ourselves drinking water and bump into these cute little puppies.

They were a mix breed.

Without wasting time, we reached our destination.

YAY!!!

After rafting,a simple lunch buffet was ready for us. After lunch, it's another 1 1/2 hour back to villa. After freshen up, we get ready to go Jimbaran for ~~sunset~~ dinner. Jimbaran, known for it's seaside restaurants.
